I have friends who don't have children enrolled at Saint Maur. Can I sign them up for classes?
Only parents with children enrolled at Saint Maur may sign-up directly on-line. Those who have no children enrolled at Saint Maur may not sign-up directly on-line until they have contacted Varsha Rangwani, Adult Enrichment Program Coordinator, to arrange to offer a class for our parents as part of our Adult Enrichment Program.
My friend has no children enrolled at Saint Maur, but she will be offering a cooking class for the Adult Enrichment Program this year. Is she allowed to sign-up for classes online?

The class I want to join now started weeks ago. Can I still sign-up?
Yes, as long as there are spaces available on the sign-up sheet, you can join any time. If in doubt, contact the instructor whose contact info is indicated on the sign-up sheet, or contact the the Adult Enrichment Program Coordinator.
How do I pay for materials and/or ingredients?
Payment must be made TEN DAYS prior to the class. Please pay fees at the Adult Enrichment table during the PSG Coffee Mornings in the cafeteria.
If you cannot attend the PSG Coffee Morning, or the timing of the Coffee Morning does not allow you to make payment prior to the deadline, please see Varsha Rangwani in the library to make payment. Please bring the exact amount as change may not be available. Please refrain from sending payment via your child.
What is the deadline for paying material/ingredient fees?
A small fee is required to cover the cost of ingredients for cooking classes. The fee is normally 1,000 yen per participant for each cooking class; however, depending on the number of dishes being prepared, the type/cost of ingredients and the number of participants, the fee may be slightly higher on occasion. Fees must be paid in cash AT LEAST TEN DAYS IN ADVANCE in order to secure your place on the class list
Can't I just pay the instructor on the day of the class?
Unless specifically indicated on the sign-up sheet or other detailed information provided about the class, please do not pay fees directly to the instructor.
What should I do if I need to cancel a class I signed up for? Do I get a refund?
First you need to CONTACT the INSTRUCTOR, then delete your name from the online sign-up sheet. If you need assistance, contact the Adult Enrichment Coordinator. Refunds are possible up until 10 days prior to the class for which you signed up. After that, no refunds are possible under any circumstances, so if you suddenly find yourself unable to attend a class within 10 days of the class, please arrange for a friend to take your place. This is the best option as it causes the least amount of inconvenience for all concerned. PLEASE do not contact the instructor asking for a refund as it puts the instructor in an awkward position -- all our instructors are volunteers. We wish to maintain the integrity of our program and good relations with our volunteers. This requires participants to kindly follow the rules which have been set.
What happens if I can't attend a class, but I forget to delete my name from the sign-up list? If you forget to delete your name or notify the Adult Enrichment Coordinator of your cancellation, you are considered enrolled and are responsible for any fees.
I know that I can sign-up for classes online anytime as long as there are spaces available, but can I also delete classes online whenever I want?
You can add/delete/swap classes freely, but as explained above, some classes require payment of material/ingredient fees. If you delete such a class after the 10-day deadline, you must find a replacement or be prepared to pay the fee even though you will not attend the class.
What should I do if I can't find anyone to take my place?
Contact the Adult Enrichment Coordinator to find out if she may be able to assist you in finding a replacement. If a replacement cannot be found, you are required to pay the fee as the instructor may have already prepared/ordered/purchased the materials/ingredients. PLEASE do not contact the instructor asking for a refund as it puts the instructor in an awkward position -- all our instructors are volunteers. We wish to maintain the integrity of our program and good relations with our volunteers. This requires participants to kindly follow the rules which have been set.
What should I do if I can't participate in a tour or excursion I signed up for?
If it is at least 24 hours prior to the tour, contact the Adult Enrichment Coordinator who will contact the tour guide for you. If your cancellation takes place on the day of the tour, please contact the tour/excursion leader by phone or email immediately. If the purchase of advance tickets was involved, a refund will not be possible.
Does the online sign-up sheet indicate whether or not I've already paid the material fee?
Unfortunately, at present, the only way you can find out if you paid your fees is by contacting the coordinator of the Adult Enrichment Program by email, phone, or in person.
Can I bring my child to the cooking classes?
For safety reasons, it is prefered that small (mobile) children are not brought to the cooking classes. For safety reasons, class size is also limited to 12 participants (including 2 dedicated spaces for KSGG volunteers). There may be occasional exceptions to the limit of participants.
FYI: Children of any age are not permitted into the Yoga classes as it is time dedicated for adults to de-stress, focusing on their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
I want to join a cooking class, but it is full. Can I contact the instructor directly and ask her to let me in?
As mentioned above, for safety reasons class size is limited to 12. Therefore, please refrain from contacting cooking instructors asking for permission to join classes that are already listed as "full." Doing so may compromise the integrity of the Adult Enrichment Program.
Is there anything special I need to bring to the cooking classes?
Yes, please bring a dish towel (required by each participant), apron (optional), plastic containers or small plastic food bags (optional) in case there is leftover food which the participants may wish to take home. If you have long hair, please tie it back or wear a scarf.
Can I park on campus on days that I have a class?
We regret to inform participants and instructors that parking is not available on our campus. Please use public parking facilities or public transportation.
Is the Adult Enrichment Programme a part the Parent Support Group?
The Adult Enrichment Programme operates independently of the PSG; however, both organizations work to support the Saint Maur community.
